And demigoddesses.
And nymphs.
And one dude.

We were little girls together,
making mischief in places we shouldn’t have,
stealing each other’s french fries,
bossing each other around.
Well, mostly me attempting to boss you around, even though
You are the oldest of the three of us.
You never grew out of the tomboy stage.
And now, you’re hurting and you need help.
It’s been years since we’ve seen each other and we talk periodically,
text or facebook.
But now I’m supposed to be here for you.
This is a lifelong commitment, a promise that we made as little girls
to always be there for each other.
An unspoken promise made as toddlers:
“I’ll never let you go”
